Have cheesecake, will travel

So. This is not just any old cheesecake. This is a cheesecake from the Carnegie Deli in New York City; a gift from Judi for my birthday this year. It arrived via FedEx from New York to my house in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the best birthday gift ever! And then, because I absolutely could not eat any of it without sharing it with her, I trekked it across Maryland, through Pennsylvania and Ohio and then up
into Michigan where it was devoured I mean savored over Labor Day weekend.

Not all of it by the two of us I should point out. Because that would have been ridiculous.

Yes, of course, you may be right. We may, in fact, be completely crazy. But that Carnegie Deli cheesecake came fully loaded with a gazillion happy memories of the time we shared its yumminess after wandering in blissful delirium at 2 in the morning through the streets of New York City after seeing Bruce at Madison Square Garden, high on rock and roll and friendship.
