Baseball champ in da house!

William is playing Little League for the first time this spring. He's doing great and really seems to like it a lot. I shudder to think what kind of commitment to this sport is required going forward though since even these babies have two games and two practise sessions per week! And evidently no, it's not OK for mama to hang around in the dugout. What's the bet next thing you know I'll find out they won't let me to go to college with him either. Hmmph.

May the Fourth (be with you)

Part of our long day today was attending our local book store's International Star Wars Day (May the Fourth) event. William just about managed to squeeze himself into his Darth Vader costume (he's had it since he was 4). Not a lot of people knew about it evidently so he had the attention of the Sith Lord in residence all to himself. Seriously, this guy (aka bookstore employee) built his own light saber using plumbing supplies and some tricked up LEDs. Was pretty cool. And then the cafe handed out cookies. The force prevailed and all was right with the world.
