Samantha: I am William's mother and Joe's wife. Somehow, I find myself living in Martinsburg, West Virginia. But I ain't really from around these parts... I'm a magazine journalist currently specialising in women's health. I blog for fun and to chronicle our little journey together. My child is more precious to me than anyone could ever understand. I realise all mothers say this but humor me by allowing me to think I am somehow different. The only thing I would change about my life if I could would be to slow it down. The speed of time passing scares the daylights out of me. I love Bruce Springsteen, Starbucks and Sephora. (No, you don't understand, I *really* love Bruce Springsteen). I like summer and baseball. I'm not so crazy about winter or football. I love guacamole and chips. They don't love me back. I strive to be the kind of person who *needs* to go to the gym everyday. So far, that ain't working out so great. I am a newly minted Catholic loving exploring my faith. If I could, I would move the entire continent of Australia about 10,000 miles closer to here. There are lots of people I love in Australia.

3. "So Mommy, NOW do you see how much fun wieners and butts can be?" This to me last night as he shakes his bare naked ass about the place laughing hysterically all the while. He's a boy. What can I say?
2. In conversation about safety around strangers and people who may not have our best interests at heart. "Well, if a bad guy tried to take me, I would pick him up and throw him right up into the electrocuting strings'. Okaaay then.
1. Mommy, what's a chaloney? A chaloney? I don't know. Where did you hear that? In Toy Story. OK, show me where that is in Toy Story. He powers up the iPad and proceeds to show me. I hear Woody say to Buzz, 'good riddance ya looney!' William hears 'Good wrench Chaloney!' Love it so much have decided never to reveal the truth to him.
