Three some hours after the show starts and has ostensibly ended, he comes back out and does a mini solo acoustic set for the assembled few. He dedicates this birthday song to someone's mother in the audience and says 'live every day like you're gonna live forever'. I love that. It's a very beautiful version of this song and it feels like such a gift.
I guess, after all, that Bruce is the original gift that keeps on giving. From 1980, when I first heard his voice, until right this very second, I keep counting the gifts and blessings he has brought me; the music, the poetry, the places, the people and the love I have all because of him. Everyone should have a 'Bruce' in their lives.
